We can just look on the TV line up on the day, first model reveales the U model which is the true successor to Q series. with greater image, greated sound, greater design simply Burdenless, BOX. Yeah the 'never settle' tagline is change to 'BURDENLESS' on TV series.
Let's dive into the TV series first and the most precious Gem or the star of the day Oneplus TV55U1. Smarter, slimmer , powerful kid to the family. Cinematic Display with Gamma Engine
Most of the TV ethusaisit may know about DCI-P3 Color Gamut. It amount of color that can be reperented by a screen. there are many standards like REC709,sRGB and Adobe RGB. How this add colors to our living room that matters. DCI-P3 mean there are a wide variety of color shades on the screen. Each colour would be vibrant each pixel would be pixel perfect to natural colour. But,

Immersive Sound
30W down firing system with 2 speaker and 2 tweeter. The speakers are places at the back of the TV for more bigger driver and aesthetics. Oneplus promises 50% more Bass from it. Thats better, Ofcourse without doubt you can make sure Dolby Atmos is ready there for you.
Design
Simply Best. Screen covers 95% of the body it is almost the screen to body ratio of our smartphones. Aluminium Unibody design that makes the thickness 6.9mm, I personally dont think this is the case at the botton. Any way stand that is more that this thickness. and it is more stable as Oneplus claims. All ports are covered or hidden under carber fiber design special alloy back cover. This makes this high engineered sculpture to Burdenless where the tagline get its breath.
Smart movement
As expected comes with latest Android TV version. Aling with Oneplus connect. A WiFi remote for TV. Oneplus is very much proclaimed their minimalistic remote. For this lauch there wasn't a remote to control TV but the smartphone itself works as a remote with much more usability. Such as keyboard pops up for test fileld and volume goes down when someone rings on phone even screenshot from phone. They "never settle" TV is ready to connect 5 more smartphones to it including iPhone. No more request for Remot controler, it is already with you.
Image share to TV comes to Oneplus TV with much better capability. Share image to TV in same network is a good old magic trick so Oneplus made it as we can share images to TV from any where in the world. A notification shall be shown on the side and any one infront of TV can watch.
Now TV is eating up a lot of data . So we got an option to stop it. we can retrict data usage on TV by data saver option. Pretty good move. and not the least Kids mode is ready to roll out. we can specify time and programme for kids. This updates shall be available for Oneplus Q1 users through update.
